Cherish

It's almost 2am.  I am completely exhausted, but I can't seem to turn off my mind.  I don't know really what I came to my blog for... I can't really seem to form real coherent thoughts.  But I wanted to write none the less.  I'm sitting in my bed with the fan on way too high which is making my eyes burn.  Which is making me more tired.  Does that ever happen to you?  I suppose I could turn the fan off, but that would require me to move.  And I don't feel like it.

Moving on.  haha.  My husband is working very late tonight.  He is currently still at the office working on some real important project.  I miss him so.  He has been working late *a lot* lately.  It's been really hard for me.  I am not clingy by any means, but it's still nice to have him home... sitting by me in the living room, or hearing him breathe as he lays next to me in bed {now.  get your mind out of the gutter. ;) }  Or listening to him with our girls - their squeals of delight as he plays whatever they want him to.  They have even painted his toe nails before.  What a good dad.
When dad isn't home, our family isn't whole.  He is the piece to our unfinished puzzle, and we are dying to complete this puzzle.  But, sometimes life gets crazy and we get busy.  With work.  He works so very hard, and it's such a great quality to have.  But at the same time, I wish him to be home.  Soon.  It's only for a time... RIGHT?!
There is a reason my turnaround time is so long.  There is a reason I keep very strict business hours.  Because I know my husband will need to work late sometimes... or a lot of the time.  I can't just work all the time and have them care for themselves. That would not be fair, they need mom.  So, I am here.  When they need me, or when they don't.  I'm watching.  Because one day... they'll be all grown up, and as a mother, there's nothing worse than missing something.  Every milestone is cherished, remembered, never ever forgotten.
I want my kids to learn a good work ethic from their dad.  Because I don't think there's a better example of that.  My dad would also be a good example of that as well.
I want my kids to learn balance from me.  I don't mean balancing and juggling life and all it's insane activities.  I mean balance as in... there is no harm in walking away for a bit.  For example.  I have set business hours for myself.  And I stop when the time has come.  It will all be there for me tomorrow.

It seems a child's life is fleeting.  Gone in a blink.  And I don't want to miss it for the world.  I look forward to the people they will become, the lives they will lead, the people they will love.  So much ahead, but still so much right here right now.

I know... totally a random post.  Just lots of things on my heart right now.   And the above is just a fraction.  But, I am nodding off as I type this.  Best be going now.  :)  I will be back with a giveaway later in the day.

Rap Stars

I have had a pretty crappy day.  Ending with my daycare woman telling me that Zoe is no longer allowed to come back because she's mad at me and thinks I lied and screwed her over, because Mike and I made the decision to take her out of daycare and put her in preschool starting next week.  Sigh.  Which in turn leaves me with 2 FULL days I need to work, but now can not.  Needless to say, I was extremely saddened, hurt, stressed and ticked off after this conversation with this woman.  While crying and drowning my sorrow in a little tub of Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream, my friend Denise came to my rescue.  :)  Did you know that she and I are rappers?  Well, it's true.

Denise was talking about her memory and being old.  Which she isn't.  haha!  That is how our little rap got started.  OK... So, our Twitter rap went a little something like this - Break it down!  :)

sheyb

Hilarity, I tell you!  Denise was successful in making me laugh  Not just laugh, but laugh so hard my stomach hurt, and my eyes watered.  The stress of 2 full days of not being able to work was momentarily forgotten and she was there to comfort me - through rapping.  Who said rap was a bad thing?  Well, not according to my fell rapper, PDM [polka dot moon/Denise] or myself, Shey to the B.  So yo!  Next time your friends are down, turn their frown upside down with a little rap. ;)

Peace!

Lost Dog. New Designs.

EDITED: Luna is now home!  :)  Read about it in the post above this one.

My dog ran away yesterday.  I don't know what time.  I don't know how she got out.  I don't know anything.  All I know is, I am horrible, because I forgot to put her name tag on her new collar.  So.  She has no identification whatsoever.  Who does that?  Ugh!  I am calling the shelters and scouring the internet as we speak.  Come home Luna!  :(

On a happier note.  I have made some new camera strap slipcovers.  Some new fabrics, and 2 brand new designs!!  Check em out...

Now.  I made a brand new gathered design last weekend for a very special fundraiser... it's called The Cora.  You may have seen it in my previous blog post.  :)  More colors coming soon!!

And last night I made my new favorite!  The Tuxedo!!  Oooh it's so lovely!

All are available in my store now!  Click here.
Time for me to get back to work on orders and finding my pup.
Here's hoping you have a better day than me!

Preparing

I am preparing for busy times ahead.  There was a lot of cutting going on today... not by me, though.

My husband once again has come through by helping me cut fabric.  I have been blessed with many many MANY orders in the last several days.  Having his help is priceless.

Zoe is now going to school 4 days a week instead of 2.  *Shey*[B] has just become full time.  For now.  Zoe loves going to school.  It's a small place in a woman's garage.  She completely remodeled her garage for the children she watches and teaches.  It's quite amazing really.  I am feeling very very blessed, loved, and overwhelmed with everyone's kindness and support.

I have some good stuff coming up this week for you all.  I have been overwhelmed by how many of you liked my post about starting a business.  So... I am going to make it a regular topic... or a series if you will.  If there are any more questions you might have, go ahead and leave them here in the comments.  I am also trying to talk my husband into doing a guest post on here.  Some of you have asked about technical stuff, and since he is a software developer, he is more adequate at answering those types of questions.

Thank you SO much to those of you that have voted for my blog over at The Lovelies!!  As The Pioneer Woman would say, I love you more n my luggage.  :)  If you haven't voted yet, you still can.  Click here to do so.  Thank you, friends!

I truly hope your weekend was full of fun, love, and creativity!

P.S. New in my store...

Babies!! Oh how I love babies!

So, I am buried up to
eyeballs with orders.
And I know I haven't really blogged
much except for giveaways.
Sorry about that!!
I promise to blog my kids soon.
I promise to blog my husband soon.
I promise to blog MY life soon.

But.  For now... here are some babies that I
had photo shoots with lately.  :)

Of course, you remember
Baby Benjamin!

He is totally freaking cute!!!
I am dying over here.

And now... the rest of baby Landry.

She is so adorable!
I hope I get to take pictures of
her and her brothers soon!
The whole family is awesome!!

So awesome that when I told them
that I needed to bring Zoe with me to
the shoot... they were cool with it.
How cool with it?

Well... maybe the dad [my husband works with him].
Say hello to Jade...
Anyway, maybe Jade, the dad of Landry
tried to teach Zoe how to play the guitar...

Pure awesome!
Thanks Jade.  :)

Heading out to spend some time with
my family!

Have a great weekend!

Giving Thanks

This is a long one, folks!  :)

Sometimes it's hard for me to put
things into words.  I don't have the
gift of writing.  My husband has that gift,
but sadly, I do not.  I try, though.  ;)

There is so much in my life that I am
thankful for!  I am so blessed, so let me
count the ways...

I am thankful for my husband.
Man, am I thankful for him!
He is caring, and loving.
He is funny, and sarcastic.
He is genuine, and blunt.
He is a phenomenal father, and husband.
He is a hard worker, and for that I am forever grateful.
He supports me, and encourages me.
He has lots of tattoos, and looks hot when he bares his arms.
He rides a motorcycle, and looks super hot with his helmet on.
He is all I will ever need.  He is my forever.
He is my constant, and my confidant.
He is understanding, but realistic.
He is optimistic, as well as pessimistic.
He is amazing with words, and makes me cry when he writes those words to me.
He loves me, even when I think I am hard to love.
He loves our children more than words can say.
He is mine, and I am his.
Life without him would be incomplete.
And that's why I am so thankful for him. Always.

**

I am thankful for Angelina.
She is my first born.
She is beautiful, and sweet.
She is caring, and loving.
She is compassionate, and forgiving.
She loves Jesus with all her heart, and tells everyone this fact.
She loves her sister more than I can say in words.
She loves animals - even when they poop in her room.
She brightens when grandma and papa call to talk to her.
She is incredibly smart, and funny.
She has a contagious laugh, and smile.
She is my first little love, and she always will be.
She shows me what love really is every single day.
It was love at first sight the day she was born.
And I love her more today than yesterday.
She makes my heart overflow with love for her.
She is my first born, she made me a mom.
And that is why I am so thankful for her.  Always.

**

I am thankful for Zoe Rae.
She is my 2nd born - my preemie.
She showed me I have enough love in my heart for her and her sister.
She showed me life is precious, and fragile.
She showed me how to fight to live.
She showed me that babies are miracles God gives us.
She is adorable, and witty.
She is playful, and stubborn.
She does things in her own time, and learns quickly.
She loves life, and is happy.
She loves to be included, and loves to include others.
She plays hard, and sleeps less.
She is clumsy, and tough.
She loves to talk on the phone with grandma & papa.
She loves shoes.  Oh does she love shoes.
She loves her sister so much, sometimes it makes me tear up.
She forgives easily, and forgets easier.
She is loving, and caring.
She, too, makes my heart overflow with love for her.
It was love at first glimpse when she was born.
She is my 2nd little love.  She always will be.
She shows me what love is every single day.
She made me a mom of two.
And that is why I am thankful for Zoe.  Always.

I love both of my kids fiercely and equally.
They are the lights of my life.
Life without them would be incomplete.

**

I am thankful for my Mom & Dad.
They are amazing, and great examples.
They have been married for 20 years.  Amazing.
They are unconditionally loving, and they're there for me.
They couldn't possibly love my kids anymore... they love them more than I could put in words.
They love my husband like their own son.
They are encouraging, and caring.
They love the Lord with every fiber of their being.
They are happy, and fun to be around.
My mom is my friend.  I wouldn't want it any other way.
My dad is amazing.  The best dad.
Talking to my dad and mom brighten my day.
They are encouraging, and compassionate.
They help others, even when it's inconvenient.
They are our parents, our grandparents and we're blessed they are ours.
I love them more than I could ever write in words.
They are truly amazing.
And that is why I am thankful for my (our) Mom & Dad/Grandma & Papa.

**

I am thankful for all of you!
You brighten my day with every comment.
Every nice sentiment makes me smile.
I read every single comment, and am thankful you take the time to say hi.
I can't even express in words how amazing you all are to me.
In a way, you all are my friends.  My online friend, yes.  But friend nevertheless.
I cherish that, and always will.
You are all beautiful people, and I love to read what you have to say.
And that is why I am thankful for all of YOU!

**

I am thankful for *Shey*[B].
I am thankful for all the customers that love my product enough to purchase.
I smile packaging up each package.
I sometimes think I am sending a little part of me in that envelope.
I am thankful for each customer who comments they received their item and "love it!"
That makes me happier than I could ever put into words.
And that is why I am thankful for *Shey*[B] and all of my amazing customers.

**

I am thankful for Jenn.
She is my bookworm buddy!
She is like my sister.  She holds such a special place in my heart.
She goes out of her way to come see me just about EVERY single Wednesday night.
She and I don't need to speak.  We can just sit and be.  We love that about our friendship/sisterhood.
She is hilarious, and caring.
She loves me like her sister.
She is a great listener, and so trustworthy.
She loves my girls a ton.
She brings me ice cream.
She tells me like it is, even if it might make me mad.  I love that.
Jenn!  I love doing nothing much with you!  There's no better way to spend a Wednesday night!
And that is why I am thankful for Jenn.

**

I am thankful for my dog, Luna.
She is a gigantic pain in the butt, but she so easily sways me into a smile with a certain look.
I am thankful for the cats, Suess and Alley.
Alley has taught Angelina responsibility.
Alley has a special bond with Angelina... they are glued at the hip.
Seuss... well... he's just a big ole hairball, but he's awesome.
Beans!  I am thankful for that crazy ferret!
He is just cute, and so easy to love.
He is getting old, which frightens me.

**

I am thankful for food on the table,
a roof over my head, a car to get me to and fro,
and a life that truly rocks!

I am thankful for a brother that I hardly talk to, but treasure the times when we do talk.
He is fun, and loving, and a newlywed!
He is an AMAZING uncle.
He will be an AMAZING daddy someday... I can't wait to see him in that role!
I am thankful for his new wife, Stacy.  She doesn't take his crap.
Good for you girl!  ;)

I am thankful for everything and everyone.
For each person in my life plays an unforgettable and amazing role.
Whether that role is big or little doesn't matter.
The person them self does.
I feel blessed to know who I know
and talk to who I talk to.
And that is why I am thankful for MY LIFE!

What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!!

It's Been 8 Years!

Today is a good day.
Today is not only November 16th!

Today marks the day 8 years ago
when my husband and I vowed to love
each other through sickness, health, good, bad
and all that.

Today Mike and I have been married
for EIGHT YEARS!
:) What a great feeling.  With
all the marriages failing these days,
I feel so incredible lucky to be in a wonderful
marriage with my guy.

Our marriage is by no means perfect.
But, we strive to make it work.
We love each other too much not to work at it.

Photobucket

I couldn't imagine my life without him.
He is an incredible father.
So loving and attentive.  So plugged in
to their every need.  It's so special to have a husband like that.

He is a wonderful husband!
He loves me no matter what.
Which to me is saying a lot.
There are times when I am difficult,
but he loves me still.
He is there for me, supports me, encourages me.
He tells me like it is.
:)

Happy Anniversary babe!!
I will love you forever.
And ever, and ever and ever and ever
andeverandeverandeverandever.

I look forward to many many many more years to come.
