Mother's Day & Giveaway Week!!

Welcome to giveaway week!  The next post will hold the very first of many giveaways going on this week!  :)  If you haven't signed up for the newsletter yet, you are definitely going to want to ASAP!  There is going to be some insider info in this first newsletter that you simply won't want to miss.  I mean... all newsletters sent out will have insider info... sort of like a *Shey*[B] secret society.  :)  Wanna join?  Your only initiation is signing up!  I promise no binge drinking, or stealing anything from a sorority!  :)  So.  Go ahead!  You can sign up right over there  <------------------- on the left sidebar.

I hope all of you moms had a divine Mother's Day!  Unfortunately I slept most of mine.  I cried about it already too.  I am really mad at myself for doing that.  Sleep is needed, but I assure you.  The amount of sleeping that I accumulated was just ridiculous.  Never ever again!  But when I was awake, my kids gave me a card that held a locket in it.  Lovely.  And my husband got me a cute card a book.  We don't really do humungous gifts for Mother's Day around here.  Because... that is not what Mother's Day is about.  My hubby and girls did, however make me the most amazingly delicious breakfast!

I promise.  It tasted as good (better) than my camera could capture.

Everyone of us loved the stuffed french toast.  Smiles everywhere.  Yum yum yum!

After breakfast daddy read the girls a story.

The girls played some educational games on the computer while mom watched on from the bed.  Which was a bad idea.  Because I fell asleep.

But when I woke up, I was informed that we were going to dinner.  Dinner at one of my favorite restaurants called Lucille's.  Fabulous food!

I took advantage of having my family so near to snap some great pictures.  Get ready for a picture assault!

For dinner we had Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer.  They were incredible.  The girls were dying to get a taste of the sauce.  :)

And I had Tri Tip for dinner.  As always.

We ended the evening with a stroll to Barnes and Noble where I added to my ever growing humungous stash of books just waiting to be read.

So, there is my Mother's Day play by play.
How was YOUR day?

Giving Thanks

This is a long one, folks!  :)

Sometimes it's hard for me to put
things into words.  I don't have the
gift of writing.  My husband has that gift,
but sadly, I do not.  I try, though.  ;)

There is so much in my life that I am
thankful for!  I am so blessed, so let me
count the ways...

I am thankful for my husband.
Man, am I thankful for him!
He is caring, and loving.
He is funny, and sarcastic.
He is genuine, and blunt.
He is a phenomenal father, and husband.
He is a hard worker, and for that I am forever grateful.
He supports me, and encourages me.
He has lots of tattoos, and looks hot when he bares his arms.
He rides a motorcycle, and looks super hot with his helmet on.
He is all I will ever need.  He is my forever.
He is my constant, and my confidant.
He is understanding, but realistic.
He is optimistic, as well as pessimistic.
He is amazing with words, and makes me cry when he writes those words to me.
He loves me, even when I think I am hard to love.
He loves our children more than words can say.
He is mine, and I am his.
Life without him would be incomplete.
And that's why I am so thankful for him. Always.

**

I am thankful for Angelina.
She is my first born.
She is beautiful, and sweet.
She is caring, and loving.
She is compassionate, and forgiving.
She loves Jesus with all her heart, and tells everyone this fact.
She loves her sister more than I can say in words.
She loves animals - even when they poop in her room.
She brightens when grandma and papa call to talk to her.
She is incredibly smart, and funny.
She has a contagious laugh, and smile.
She is my first little love, and she always will be.
She shows me what love really is every single day.
It was love at first sight the day she was born.
And I love her more today than yesterday.
She makes my heart overflow with love for her.
She is my first born, she made me a mom.
And that is why I am so thankful for her.  Always.

**

I am thankful for Zoe Rae.
She is my 2nd born - my preemie.
She showed me I have enough love in my heart for her and her sister.
She showed me life is precious, and fragile.
She showed me how to fight to live.
She showed me that babies are miracles God gives us.
She is adorable, and witty.
She is playful, and stubborn.
She does things in her own time, and learns quickly.
She loves life, and is happy.
She loves to be included, and loves to include others.
She plays hard, and sleeps less.
She is clumsy, and tough.
She loves to talk on the phone with grandma & papa.
She loves shoes.  Oh does she love shoes.
She loves her sister so much, sometimes it makes me tear up.
She forgives easily, and forgets easier.
She is loving, and caring.
She, too, makes my heart overflow with love for her.
It was love at first glimpse when she was born.
She is my 2nd little love.  She always will be.
She shows me what love is every single day.
She made me a mom of two.
And that is why I am thankful for Zoe.  Always.

I love both of my kids fiercely and equally.
They are the lights of my life.
Life without them would be incomplete.

**

I am thankful for my Mom & Dad.
They are amazing, and great examples.
They have been married for 20 years.  Amazing.
They are unconditionally loving, and they're there for me.
They couldn't possibly love my kids anymore... they love them more than I could put in words.
They love my husband like their own son.
They are encouraging, and caring.
They love the Lord with every fiber of their being.
They are happy, and fun to be around.
My mom is my friend.  I wouldn't want it any other way.
My dad is amazing.  The best dad.
Talking to my dad and mom brighten my day.
They are encouraging, and compassionate.
They help others, even when it's inconvenient.
They are our parents, our grandparents and we're blessed they are ours.
I love them more than I could ever write in words.
They are truly amazing.
And that is why I am thankful for my (our) Mom & Dad/Grandma & Papa.

I am thankful for all of you!
You brighten my day with every comment.
Every nice sentiment makes me smile.
I read every single comment, and am thankful you take the time to say hi.
I can't even express in words how amazing you all are to me.
In a way, you all are my friends.  My online friend, yes.  But friend nevertheless.
I cherish that, and always will.
You are all beautiful people, and I love to read what you have to say.
And that is why I am thankful for all of YOU!

**

I am thankful for *Shey*[B].
I am thankful for all the customers that love my product enough to purchase.
I smile packaging up each package.
I sometimes think I am sending a little part of me in that envelope.
I am thankful for each customer who comments they received their item and "love it!"
That makes me happier than I could ever put into words.
And that is why I am thankful for *Shey*[B] and all of my amazing customers.

**

I am thankful for Jenn.
She is my bookworm buddy!
She is like my sister.  She holds such a special place in my heart.
She goes out of her way to come see me just about EVERY single Wednesday night.
She and I don't need to speak.  We can just sit and be.  We love that about our friendship/sisterhood.
She is hilarious, and caring.
She loves me like her sister.
She is a great listener, and so trustworthy.
She loves my girls a ton.
She brings me ice cream.
She tells me like it is, even if it might make me mad.  I love that.
Jenn!  I love doing nothing much with you!  There's no better way to spend a Wednesday night!
And that is why I am thankful for Jenn.

**

I am thankful for my dog, Luna.
She is a gigantic pain in the butt, but she so easily sways me into a smile with a certain look.
I am thankful for the cats, Suess and Alley.
Alley has taught Angelina responsibility.
Alley has a special bond with Angelina... they are glued at the hip.
Seuss... well... he's just a big ole hairball, but he's awesome.
Beans!  I am thankful for that crazy ferret!
He is just cute, and so easy to love.
He is getting old, which frightens me.

**

I am thankful for food on the table,
a roof over my head, a car to get me to and fro,
and a life that truly rocks!

I am thankful for a brother that I hardly talk to, but treasure the times when we do talk.
He is fun, and loving, and a newlywed!
He is an AMAZING uncle.
He will be an AMAZING daddy someday... I can't wait to see him in that role!
I am thankful for his new wife, Stacy.  She doesn't take his crap.
Good for you girl!  ;)

I am thankful for everything and everyone.
For each person in my life plays an unforgettable and amazing role.
Whether that role is big or little doesn't matter.
The person them self does.
I feel blessed to know who I know
and talk to who I talk to.
And that is why I am thankful for MY LIFE!

What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!!

It's Been 8 Years!

Today is a good day.
Today is not only November 16th!

Today marks the day 8 years ago
when my husband and I vowed to love
each other through sickness, health, good, bad
and all that.

Today Mike and I have been married
for EIGHT YEARS!
:) What a great feeling.  With
all the marriages failing these days,
I feel so incredible lucky to be in a wonderful
marriage with my guy.

Our marriage is by no means perfect.
But, we strive to make it work.
We love each other too much not to work at it.

I couldn't imagine my life without him.
He is an incredible father.
So loving and attentive.  So plugged in
to their every need.  It's so special to have a husband like that.

He is a wonderful husband!
He loves me no matter what.
Which to me is saying a lot.
There are times when I am difficult,
but he loves me still.
He is there for me, supports me, encourages me.
He tells me like it is.
:)

Happy Anniversary babe!!
I will love you forever.
And ever, and ever and ever and ever
andeverandeverandeverandever.

I look forward to many many many more years to come.
