The Quilt Top

So, I finished the quilt top for a certain special event coming up!! It turned out Fantastic!! I am going to order more of this fabric and make another one for myself!!! I kept telling Mike that I wanted to keep this, to which he shook his head and said, "I don't think so". Darn it! ;)

Here it is!!!! Pictures DO NOT do it justice! I absolutely LOVE this fabric!









Isn't it lovely? I am going to send it off to the quilters tomorrow and will give the full reveal when I get it back from them! I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Home Hot Home

We are home. Man! It is hot here! LOL! Being in paradise, a.k.a; Oceanside, CA really spoiled me! It was in the 70's the entire weekend!! AMAZING weather!! We are back home now, and man is it hot!!! I am ready for fall!!

Anyway. We had such an amazing time over the weekend! I didn't want to leave. SO many memories made, and so much relaxing was done. I have a lot to do today, but here is 1 picture to tide you all over til tomorrow. ;)

Get Away

As I type this I can hear the ocean crashing on the sand. I can feel the ocean breeze, smell the scent of the ocean on the wind, taste it on the breeze and I am happy because of it!! It's so nice and COOL here in southern California. I was hearing it's hot here, but not even on the drive through did I see evidence... sorry... 85 degrees is just so nice and so not hot. ;) We used to live here ... I lived here for most of my life. As did my husband. It's nice to come for a visit, dream about owning a beach house, but then remember the traffic... then we wake up. LOL!

Tutu

I made Zoe a tutu the other night. So simple! I made the entire thing [which included cutting the tulle] in an hour. :) I do think it's a little too long, though. But Zoe loves it. :)

And of course she has to wear dress up shoes. Every single day. No matter what she's wearing. :)

And some of Angelina. :) She is so beautiful. My soon to be 2nd grader! Unbelievable that she will be in 2nd grade!

And my girlies together. Awww! Sisters. There's nothing like it. One minute they are loving on each other and kissing, hugging, playing. And the next, there is screaming, hair pulling, and hitting. Zoe is a bully. But, they're still so cute! ;)

We are leaving Friday for the weekend, so I am really busy with finishing orders, and that quilt top for a certain event coming up. And some other fun stuff I'd like to do before we leave for my girls.
