I would like you to meet Melanie.  She is a really great friend of mine.  Do you know where I met her?  TWITTER!  She lives in Tucson, which is about 2 hours from me in Phoenix.  But she has been up here several times to hang out and the last time to attend Bloggy Bootcamp, but I like to pretend she used Bloggy Bootcamp as an excuse to come see her BFF (which by the way... not sure why I just used that term - BFF - I can't stand it). HA!  Melanie is the bomb diggity dog!  ;)

Melanie is also the keeper to one of my addictions... FABRIC!  Yes.  She owns an online fabric store called Above All Fabric.  She is my drug dealer.  hehehe.  So, let's meet Melanie my BFF bomb diggity dog friend shall we?  I knew you'd want to.  :)

i love anything moda, and free spirit is amazing!

worst birthday gift ever was from an aunt i won't name... she gave me a necklace that she had been wearing (it had her hair stuck in it) and mismatched used earrings. needless to say that's the point i wrote her off as a decent gift giver!

and i'm following melanie now!

It's hard to decide I have favorites from each designer, so I'll say Heather Bailey.

Tanya said...

Worst birthday gift...school supplies, my bday is Aug 19 close to the start of school so for many years people always bought me binders and pencils, useful but not fun for a kid!

Ashley said...

My fav is Heather Bailey.

Ashley said...

The worst present ever was a glass boot soap dispenser with fake flowers inside. The look of shock was priceless, I'm sure. What do you say to a present like that??

My worst b-day present was the year I didn't get one. Not even a card. And I was pregnant and hormonal. Seems like hubby did have something planned, but neglected to clue me in that we'd be celebrating a few days later. But, gee, even a card or a "happy birthday" would have been nice on the actual day! :(

And, hey, I'm loving the material patterns Moda has been putting out lately. So pretty!

I love them all - especially Heather Bailey! :-)

My worst gift? Probably the knitting needle set I got ten years ago, it seemed like a terrible gift because I don't knit. But I held onto them and just recently started my first knitting project - who knew?!

There were several of my favorite designers, Laura Gunn is the one I'd pick for this moment in time.

I left a comment on her blog, and signed up to get the feed and newsletter. Her shop is set up really nice. I plan on checking it out further.

SewLindaAnn said...

Hmmm, worst gift. I can't remember not liking anything. I'm really pretty easy to please, and as long as someone brings me coffee in the morning and lets me do whatever I want all day (sewing/gardening) without taking care of anyone else, I'm good.

Can't say I ever met a fabic I didn't like. But the Bloom & Grow by My Minds Eye was nice and old school traditional for me today. Will definately be going back to check out more fabric-which is my addiction as well. Thanks for the chance!

I can't say I have ever had a bad present-I never got that many. We mostly got to pick out the cake we wanted and that was it. Although maybe the vacuum cleaner my husband got me one year might qualify.
