New Projects & Birthdays!!

Been busy being sick, sewing and taking care of my girls this week. Today is my Dad's birthday!!!

Happy Birthday Dad!!!!

We hope you have a wonderful day. We miss you so much. Wish we were there to have birthday dinner with you. :) Have some cake for me!!
So, since my dad's birthday is t
oday, that can only mean one thing...

Zoe's 2nd Birthday is TOMORROW!!!!

Holy cow! I can't believe it. Where did this year go??? I will write Zoe's last monthly letter for her tomorrow, and from there it will be yearly like it is for Angelina. Of course I will then do random little notes about each little girl throughout the year. :) Just can't believe my little preemie girl is going to be 2 tomorrow. Crazy!!

Speaking of Zoe's birthday. We are having a little shindig over here on Saturday for her. So, I decided she n
eeded something special to wear. This is what I came up with...

The tutu is re-purposed. It was Angelina's when she was in ballet in North Carolina. She can't wear stuff like that in a ballet class here, so I thought... hey! I can use that! ;) I just took off the purple ribbon that was originally around the waist band and took the same fabric I used for the 2 and put it on the waist band so it would match.

I bought the shirt at Target for a couple bucks, and then did a #2 applique on it -- since she is going to be 2, ya know. ;)

Did all that in about an hour. So, I was pretty happy about that! LOL. I think it turned out pretty cute.

I have also been making more Camera
Strap *Slip* Covers for my shop. I changed the name of them by adding that word slip, because it seemed fitting. Them slip/slide onto your camera strap. ;) A few woman asked/offered to do Camera Strap Slip Cover giveaways in the next few days, so I need to have the shop stocked up. Here are the couple that I have made thus far: [of course there are more in my shop]

I had the Damask one [below] listed for less than a full day and someone bought it, so I had to re-list it this morning. LOL!

Well, that's about it for now. We are wanting/needing to have a garage sale this Saturday, so I have been trying to clean the garage and organize the sale stuff. LOL!! Not a fun or easy thing for me to do. There is so much stuff, and it is STILL HOT HERE! Supposed to be 92 degrees here. I miss the cold crisp fall weather.

So, what are your plans for this weekend? I am dying to know!! So, leave me a comment. ;)

Our Weekend Revisited

First!! Go to the right side of my blog and do my poll!! :) Only a few days left, and I would love everyone's input.

I fell in love a little more with Arizona over the weekend... Saturday it was 72 degrees, and Sunday 74 degrees! 2 perfect days filled with cool crisp fall weather. Today it's supposed to be in the 70's and tomorrow mid 80's. Then my love for Arizona will go back to where it was before this weekend... it's supposed to be in the 90's for several days following tomorrow. Boo! I seriously am SOOOOOOOOOO tired of the heat. I have tasted fall, and I don't want it to go away! No fair. ;)

Saturday we just hung around the house, and finished some things that needed to get done. Like cleaning out the garage... going through things. Separating in garage sale piles and keep piles, etc. This was the scene Saturday evening, though...

Yep! Never thought it could happen! Sweatshirts in Arizona?! Whoa! LOL.

Sunday Mike went to the Cardinal vs. Cowboys football game [Which the Arizona Cardinals proceeded to win!] with some of his buddies, so that left the girls and I a whole day ahead of us. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling very well [and I'm still not - have a cold], but I pushed that to the side so that my girls would have a fun day despite Mama's cold.

First, we went to the DIY car wash so I could give my car a MUCH needed bath. Zoe has finally warmed up to it. She used to cry almost the entire time! This time while I sprayed the car I made faces at her, and played peek-a-boo. She liked that. Then they were laughing and squealing when it was time for me to spray on the multi-colored soap. They love that part. :)

Then we went to the pumpkin farm! We had a ton of fun there! The girls got "free" pumpkins to put stickers all over.

I say "free" because you had to pay to get into the farm, so they weren't really free. LOL. The girls got to see some farm animals, exotic reptiles and TONS of pumpkins. :) We got quite a few for ourselves. I was able to get some good pictures, despite the fact that I had to use my small digi camera instead of my Canon. I STILL can't find the battery charger. I think it's about time I just buy a new charger. LOL... especially since Zoe's birthday is THIS FRIDAY!!! Holy cow.

They even got free Krispi Kreme donuts! Yum Yum!

After the pumpkin farm we went to Costco to get some things. Is it me, or does everything at Costco seem to be either $8 or $10? Jeez! I do see the point of going to Costco sometimes, but man! I don't see the point of going there more than once a month! I would go broke if I went in there more than that! And, I STILL have to go to the regular grocery store too. At least I have enough TP and Paper Towels to last me at least a month. LOL. Hopefully more! I didn't find Costco's selection of products to be very good. In North Carolina there was another bulk store like Costco, but it was called BJ's. We had a membership there, and it was way better than Costco. Sorry Mom! I know you LOVE Costco, but I like BJ's way better. BJ's just had more of everything. More than just 1 type of woman's deoderant or more than 2 brands of diapers. So, anyway. LOL.

Today I am still sick, but hope to be better soon! I have 2 people hosting giveaways for my camera strap covers on Sunday, so I need to get my shop more stocked up! Not to mention I have a shirt for Zoe's Birthday to do, and more!! Better get busy!

Have a great day!

Project Reveal

You all asked me to show you the projects I am working on when they are completed... so, here is one. A friend and I were talking yesterday, and I mentioned that I was going to make some baby gifts with some of the new fabric that I got yesterday [see post below if you're curious]. I told her specifically what kinds of baby gifts I was making, and she "yelled" through Gmail chat that she HAD to have some of these!! LOL. So today, I made 7 of them. Large, Medium & Small. They are so adorable!! What are they???

Oh, all right! I guess I can show you. LOL!

Baby Rattle Balls!!! They turned out REALLY cute! There will be boy colors soon too! Remember that orange, blue, & green Amy Butler fabric? Yea. That's the boy ones. And they will look fantastic!! So, check my Etsy Shop later or click on my Etsy box to the right of my blog. Not sure what I am going to name these, but they're for babies, and they have rattles in them, and they roll... what more could a baby want? ;) I LOVE them! What do you think?

Oh! Here are some random silly pictures of my gir
ls:

And, for something funny, go HERE. Could give you an hour or 2 of entertainment, don't ya think? ;)

Looky Looky! :)

Went out to get the mail today, and look what was waiting for me on a chair...

Oh how I love to get things in the mail. :) So, I order some fabric on Monday night. Got most of it today. Still waiting for a yard of fabric - once that gets here I will show you. So, let me show you what I got...

This set of Amy Butler fabric is destined
to be a present for someone... that's all I can say, because this person reads my blog. LOL! Aren't they pretty? I know all of it won't be used, so I am sure that I will find other uses for it... maybe another quilted camera strap cover! ;)

These 2 Heather Bailey fabrics are destined to be a dress for Zoe. I LOVE this set! It's so adorable. :)

The fabric on the left I just love. I will make camera strap covers out of it. At least a couple of them... some people want to see me make the strap covers out of that fabric.... maybe the rest I will make a skirt with for Zoe or Angelina... not sure.

The Bird fabric is SOOOO CUTE! I am making a ski
rt for Angelina with it. When she saw it she has jumping up and down, and that was before I even told her that I bought it specifically to make her a skirt with it! LOL. She was even more excited when I told her it was for her.

These 2 fabrics are custom order fabrics for camera strap covers. Black and White Damask. Also, Carnival Bloom and Cha Cha.

The below fabrics are going to made into presents for some babies. Most people I know are having boys. LOL. Foreign to me since I have 2 girls. ;) But I thought these were OK for boys. Right? They are going to be cut in strips for this certain project.

Here they are all together. *Sigh* I love new fabric. So, check my Etsy shop in a few days to see what's new!

One of the ladies even sent me some sample squares of fabrics!! How awesome is that?! Not sure what I will do with them, but at least I get to see some of the fabrics that I have been eyeing first hand.

Mike found the battery charger for our little point and shoot camera, so at least I can take pictures with something! Now... wear is my Canon battery charger... hmmmmmmmm.

What are YOU up to? Leave me a comment. ;)
